Customers are legally bound to control the risk of any individual contracting Legionnaires’ disease on their site. The ACOP L8 legislation has been developed by the Health and Safety Executive to outline the measures that customers need to take to be compliant. Ignoring these carries financial, legal and health penalties.
As a member of the Legionella Control Association, our business complies with HAS standards for service delivery. Qualified technicians undertake comprehensive Legionella risk assessments of the site – including hot and cold water systems, water features, cooling towers and any other systems which may need to be controlled.
At the time of the risk assessment, customers will also receive a schematic drawing of the site’s water systems.
From this risk assessment, we produce a full report that highlights any necessary remedial activities and recommendations for control measures to reduce the risk of a Legionella outbreak. In addition, customers will benefit from a site-specific logbook and a written scheme for the control of Legionella at the property.
